Abovyan Ruben H. (Rouben Abovyan) was born in Yerevan in 1948. He graduated from art school. Terlemezyan. Since 1979 – Member of the Union of Artists. In 1991 he received the title of Honored Artist of Armenia. Artwork by Ruben Abovyan presented in National Gallery of Armenia, in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yerevan, in numerous private collections. Since 1992 he held a number of solo exhibitions in France, Holland, England, Austria, Spain and Germany.
