You would like to go on a live dinosaur? Probably each of us would not refuse it! American artist James Gurney came up with the whole country – Dinotopia (Dinotopia), in which the peace agreement survive and thrive humans and dinosaurs.
James Gurney born June 14, 1958 in California, USA. He was the youngest of five children, a mechanical engineer Robert Gurney. From early childhood the boy was accustomed to spend time in his father’s workshop, artists of different toys, gliders, kites, colorful masks … then became interested in archeology and anthropology, and in 1979 graduated with honors from the University of California. Then – a few semesters studying at the artist – illustrator at the College of Art and Design (Art Center College of Design) in Pasadena. Since the early 1980s, James became a freelance artist and illustrator, collaborating with a variety of customers, among which were: the journal of the National Geographic Society, the Centers for reconstruction of ancient civilizations and others. On – this James Gurney famous after the publication in 1992 of his book “Dinotopia”. The book has been translated into 18 languages??, its total circulation of over one million copies. According to the plot of the book and on the basis of the artist’s paintings was shot three-part film “Dinotopia” (2002), as well as animation and computer game.
